Biblical throughlines are big picture ideas. Throughlines are qualities/characteristics that we desire church members to develop as God is revealed to them in all things. They are discipleship concepts that guide our living. These characteristics describe how we can become part of the restoration of creation. They answer, “How NOW shall I live?” Throughlines weave the big ideas into a transformational worldview. A key component of the education program of the Church is that leaders are challenged not simply to tell the the church members about the throughlines but to provide actual opportunities for the them to “live” the throughlines. Throughtlines help us to BE followers of Christ.
AND WHAT DOES GOD CALL US TO "BE"?
And what does God call us to “be”? He calls us to be Servant Workers, to be Justice Seekers, to be Earth Keepers, to be Community Builders. He calls us to be Creation Enjoyers, Order Discoverers, and Beauty Makers. And in all of these, He calls every disciple to be God Worshippers, and Image Reflectors. Here we get a wider picture of the roles that God has called us to be as Christians.

Part 1
In this introduction to the Biblical Throughlines, we will briefly look at five different questions:
• Who are God's children?
• Who are we called to BE as God’s children?
• How can we become part of the restoration of creation?
• “How NOW shall we live?”
• What does God calls us to “BE”?

"God Worshiper"
Part 2
How NOW should we live? We must live as God worshipers. We must BE God worshipers. We don't just worship God on Sunday or special religious days of the year. No, we worship God in EVERY aspect of our life.

"Creation Enjoyer"
Part 3
How NOW should we live? We must live as creation enjoyers. We must BE creation enjoyers. Creation is AMAZING. As Christians, we must enjoy the eternal power and divine nature in what is created. We MUST worship the Creator.

"Order Discoverer"
Part 4
How NOW should we live? We must live as order discoverers. We must BE order discoverers. When we look at the brain and the red blood cells of the human body, we realize that things did not just happen by chance. There is incredible order. In all things around us, we must discover God’s fingerprints in the intricate, purposeful design of what he has created. We MUST worship the Creator for His incredible order.

Part 5
How NOW should we live? How NOW should we live? We must live as image reflectors. We must BE God's image reflectors. We must think as Jesus thinks, do as Jesus does, and love as Jesus loves.

"Beauty Creator"
Part 6
How NOW should we live? We must live as beauty creators. We must BE God's beauty creators. We must create beauty that tells the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It tells HIStory. It displays creation, the fall, redemption and restoration.

How NOW should we live? We must live as idol discerners. We must BE God's idol discerners. We were created to worship the ONE TRUE God. We were not created to worship those things that God created. We worship the Creator not His creation.

"Earth Keeper"
Part 8
How NOW should we live? We must live as earth keepers. We must BE God's earth keepers. We must be stewards or servants who care for all of God's creation. As image bearers, we must be wise, moral and socially responsible as we subdue and rule the earth.

Part 9
How NOW should we live? We must live as community builders. We must BE God's community builders. We must strive for shalom - a peace that focuses on Christ-like relationships.

"Servant Worker"
Part 10
How NOW should we live? We must live as servant workers. We must BE God's servant workers. Just as Jesus was a servant and slave, so too we must be his servants and slaves. We must be his hands and feet looking for people and places to serve.

Part 11
How NOW should we live? We must live as justice seekers. We must BE God's justice seekers. Jesus sought justice when he took our place on the cross. We should have been punished.

How NOW should we live? The throughlines give us many examples of how we should live as children of God. It is not a question of how but rather a question of WILL we live for Jesus. We must BE MORE LIKE JESUS.
